WORKSHOPS, CLASSES, PRIVATE PRACTICE

Grief and Loss
Marcia conducts workshops in Tucson and nationally that range from half day to week-long trainings. For those grieving a loss, the workshops are experiential in nature, focusing on providing exercises and tools that strengthen and integrate spirit, mind, body and heart to more effectively weather the grief journey.

Her trainings in grief and loss for professionals are a combination of education, experiential work incorporating the expressive arts therapies, and a healthy dose of humor. She presents expressive arts exercises and activities that can be integrated into any organization's toolkit.

Call Marcia at (520) 975-5376 for more info on workshop agendas and fees or write to her at marcia@griefandlosshelp.com.

Pet Loss Support Group and Workshops
Marcia conducts a pet loss support group through the Humane Society in Tucson twice a month. Currently it meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at the Northminster Presbyterian Church library on the corner of Ft. Lowell and Tucson Boulevard from 6-7:30 p.m.

This group is free and provides education and support for the grief process. Registration is required as the space is limited. Call 743-4449.

COMMENTS FROM WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS:

"As the prior Mental Health Coordinator for Child-Parent Centers (Head Start) in Tucson, I had the opportunity to call upon Marcia's services on several occasions, for assisting staff and parents and children through personal as well as professional grief work. She has a unique ability to intertwine music, therapy, education and humor into highly effective sessions. Staff whom I had known to be "anti- counseling" left with a newfound appreciation and openness to it as a result of Marcia's breaking through to them in a profound manner. "

"Marcia has presented to both staff and volunteers at our hospice. She is gentle, compassionate and clear in her work, respectful of the diversity of cultures, feelings and issues present. She is a dedicated and talented therapist who uses music and grief education that touches the heart and mind with its simplicity, depth and breadth."
                    - Ruth Little, Carondolet Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

"Marcia's grief seminar was excellent, clear and useful. She is very flexible and it is amazing how she can change her "agenda" to meet the needs of the group she is working with. Her calming presence and her music made the whole experience a delight!"
